According to Dali, “the theory of atoms sees the world as a sponge of the sky”, and from this comes the use of a reproduction of the hydrogen atom as a lamp. The artist stated that everything is in suspension in an atom and that in his atomic, or mystical-unclear period, he had to paint everything suspended in space.
